Our little Carson pups are all grown up! They’ve been allocated to their new forever homes and are heading there this weekend! It’s been an absolute blast with this litter and we are going to miss this so much when they leave, but it is soooo worth it.
Our favorite part of all we do here are Prairie Doodles is introducing our wonderful families to their new puppy. There are so many smiles, wagging tails, and happy tears and it is truly wonderful to see.
These gorgeous puppies are just waltzing right into full-grown puppyhood! They are honestly such a sweet and happy litter and they are pretty darn proud of themselves these days, with how well they're eating their puppy kibble, drinking their freshwater from a big pup bowl, and even potty training. What can we say?
We are pretty proud of them too! This week we will be taking a lot of notes on each pup as we get ready for temperament testing next week! We know our families can hardly wait and neither can we! This is the fun part.

These puppies are five weeks old and ready to take on the world! They’ve been spending a lot of time romping around the house and also falling asleep wherever they may feel like it, which takes the game “Hide and Seek” to a whole other level! LOL!
We are just loving these guys to pieces. They are also so sweet and full of cuddles. We couldn’t be more happy with this litter!
And just like that, they’ve reached their halfway home milestone! They have a bit more energy these days and love to romp around with the kiddos, though they aren’t quite sure on how those legs run! It’s still quite cute to watch!
They are getting the hang of potty training now too! Can you believe it? We always giggle at the four week mark because the puppies are in such an awkward growth stage, their bodies are still quite chunky and their legs aren’t quite long enough, and they head is trying to catch up with their body!
It’s sort of like your Grade two photo in school! 😂
Happy Three Weeks old to Carson’s puppies! They are pretty darn chunky these days and are wobbling around a lot more these days. They’ve definitely hit the motherland when it comes to the milk bar and have been spoiled rotten with a momma who just can’t get enough of them.
They will be introduced to softened puppy kibble, fresh water and even potty training in a litter box this week! This is a huge step in their development as they slowly gain more independence from mom over the next more weeks!
These days they are still mostly cuddling, sleeping, and then eating! Oh, and they are getting way more cuddle time with the kiddos too!
Happy two weeks to our Carson puppies! They are chunky little pups, that’s for sure! They have grown so much since the last week and are starting to open their eyes!
But they sleep a lot more than they are awake these days because life of a growing puppy is hard word. They regularly pile on top of one another and cuddle close with momma for milk.
They are so sweet and sleepy and the kids just love sitting in the pen and giving sweet kisses to these babies.
Whelp, it’s office! Carson’s puppies are already one week old. Time flies when you are sleeping ALL DAY LONG! These babes are getting all the rest while they continue to learn more about the world around them.
They are basically staying close to momma, each other, and the milk all day these days. Carson is such a good mommy as well and is just loving all the cuddles. She is so proud too!
Sharing the puppy’s with the kiddos and letting them come by the puppy bed for frequent hugs and kisses.
Carson’s puppies have been allocated to their forever homes and we are so excited for both the pups and our family’s! Goodbyes are always a little hard, especially when you’ve got such a sweet litter like this, but we know they are going to amazing homes filled with such wonderful people and each pup is so lucky!
Look at how big they are getting!? They’ve been growing so fast and are now upgraded to regular romping through the house around 3 to 4 times a day with the kiddos. Especially since we are in our 4th winter here in Spring. They love chasing balls and their little human friends wherever they go. Mom is basically all done with her feeding too! She still pops in to check on them, but she is really enjoying her freedom. The next time you get an update from this litter, it will be announcing who each of their forever family’s will be.
These babes turned 5 weeks old this week and just in time for the good weather since they will spend some time outside each day. This is a great way to help them grow developmentally, as there are so many new sights and sounds for them to experience.
These babes reached a really big milestone this week. They not only have more energy for a little play time in the living room with the kiddos, but they are also starting their fresh water, softened kibble, and litter training this week. This help mom and pups both get a little more independence and support the growth happening over the next few weeks!
These gorgeous pups have grown right up and are almost ready to leave us! They have spent the week outside enjoying the weather, got the sign on for a good bill of health from the vet and met the whole staff there, had a few play dates with kids, and spend a lot of time these days going through forts and obstacle courses built by their favourite kids - Ollie and Margot and are really ready to meet their new families! We know their families are ready too! We can’t wait for the weekend to see all the smiles of our families and puppies and hoping for another nice day of good weather!
We can hardly believe these puppies are just a few days from temperament testing and being matched with their perfect families! It will be a big weekend for sure, but we can’t wait to study these temperaments and share the good news. Who’s ready? We know the families are! They are much fun right now and have the hang of eating, drinking, and potty training. Next it’s crate training practice. Wish us luck!

These babies are eyes wide open at two weeks old! They have seen so much in the last week that they have to nap a ton to process all those sights! They spend their days getting cuddles from each other and from momma, as well as a couple of cute kiddos who run the pup nursery here. We love them so much and their coats are getting more prominent!
