These little gorgeous red heads are heading off to their forever homes this week! They are all ready and waiting for the big day!
These puppies are days away from meeting their forever families and we know how excited their families are! We wish them the best of luck on their new ventures and we will miss our little Poppy puppies!
Six weeks is such a neat time to observe puppies...they are so perky, playful and full of mischief! They respond so quickly to the whistle and its so cute to see the eight little gaffers running in a little herd to get to the feeding dish!! They are finding that life is okay without mama being there all the time and are nearly weaned. A happy, bouncy little group, enjoying the Koocanusa sunshine.
Rose's puppies are six weeks old and loving the outside! But they can't stay out as much as they would like because of the crazy heat! They are happy pups though and enjoy nice days indoors chasing around Oliver, the toddler socializer of the house. They got a lot of socialization last week and will continue to meet more people as we get ready to test them and allocate them to their very excited and anxious families! Almost weened from mom now, these guys love a fresh bowl of water and some grub! Thanks for stopping by to check them out! s

In just one more week, these little puppies will begin testing for their temperaments and will be allocated to their forever families! This is an exciting and nervous time for their families, but oh so fun! They are having a blast and playing lots and getting super socialized! They are all showing some real personality traits now and they are very sweet!
Definitely the WOW factor!! These puppies are certainly Show Stoppers and such cuddle bugs. They do enjoy the outdoors even in this intense heat. Early in the morning they are racing around the yard, but 11 am they decide its time to seek the shade for a snooze. They are becoming quite independent but still love that Mama is just a squeak away.
These gorgeous red puppies met the great outdoors this week and thoroughly enjoyed it in small doses, due to the heat wave, of course. They have a huge mental leap as they learned that there is so much more to life than they ever knew before. They are using their litter box and eating their food more and more now! Soon, they won't need momma Rose any more and she can retire!
Thanks for stopping by to see Poppy's pups meet their five week milestones! They also met the grand outdoors, in very limited doses, due to the heat wave. They didn't know what they thought about grass or a sandbox, but they warmed up to the idea very quickly and took the longest nap when they came back inside! These pups are showing their large mini sizes already! They are still working on learning to eat more and more and use their litter box. They are so sweet already and we can't wait to see how they test out in their temperaments in two weeks.
These puppies are certainly thriving in the sunshine. They are busy babies and full of fun! Next week is Avidog testing time and we have no doubt that they will succeed with flying colours!
In just one more month these River pups will be on their way to a brand new chapter in their lives. Their new family members are so excited and can't wait for allocation day...well, time passes quickly and it will be here before we know it. The days here at Koocanusa are very very hot, so these little ones go out for just short periods at a time and for the rest of the day they visit me in the kitchen. They do love to romp on the grass in the cool of the early evening though. Such adorables and so sweet!

They are still a bunch of cuddle bugs and prefer to lay on each other at all times when resting, but they are more active now and are getting the hang of their food and litter situations! Rose get's to have more "me time", but is often just around the corner if they need her! =]

Life is a fun adventure for these energetic little sweetums. They love to romp and cause havoc chasing each other around the kitchen table. When they go outside for the day, they enjoy the sights and sounds all around them. They nap in the shade and still spend a lot of time with mama who lies in the shade with them.
These adorable puppies live in the kitchen and are getting used to different sounds and smells. They are very alert already and sometimes even bark at a new sound. They aren't great about using the litter yet, but in time they will get the hang of it. Even tho they are getting puppy food, they prefer mama milk and lots of cuddles. What a little brood of sweethearts!

This is the half way point to home for these sweet puppies. In just 4 weeks time they will be introduced to their very own family, a real exciting time for everyone. Today they were introduced to sunshine and green grass....need I say, they loved it. Each day is a new experience for these little adventure pups!!
How many red puppies could there be!? So many and each with very subtle differences. The other thing they have in common is that they like to eat and have the bodies to show for it! 2 weeks has slipped by already and these River puppies are doing awesome. River is a wonderful first time mom and loves her family, even tho they are quite demanding of her time!! They are hearing quite well now but are just starting to open their eyes. Next week they will be on the move and eating solids. Lots happening here at Koocanusa!
